The designer, YERANJI, doesn’t shy away from print, color, or textile, even daring to edge into the urban on occasion. With each element meticulously in place, the showroom boasted Marie Antoinette and 18th century France-inspired touches.

For those who want to stand out, for those who want to make some noise, and for those who want to let their inner self shine. It is a brand exquisite enough to adorn royalty, both feminine and fantastical.

입술을 내미는 마네퀸으로 고객들을 환영하는 더 센토르가 2008년에 설립된 이후로 많은 발전을 했다. 한번 둘러볼 때 금색이 쇼룸 안에 반짝 반짝 빛나 금빛이 몸을 감싸는 느낌을 받을 수 있다. 더 센토르 디자이너 예란지는 가끔씩 어반 쪽 까지 프린트, 비비드 컬러한 디자인도 피하지 않는다. 각 요소를 배치 한 쇼룸은 마리 앙투아네트와 18세기 프랑스 풍의 터치를 자랑했다.

The observatory, originally the “Chinese room”, hosts a café and bar with historic elements; it transports you to a speakeasy of the Prohibition era, complete with era-appropriate food and drinks. The Smith Tower is perfect for relaxing, enjoying the view, and meeting friends, new and old.

미국 워싱턴주 시애틀 시내의 남쪽에 위치한 스미스 타워는 반드시 가봐야 할 곳 중 하나이다. 40미터의 높이로 지어진지 100년이 넘은 이 고층 건물은 바닷가 뷰를 가지고 있어 전망대로 잘 알려져있다. “더 중국인 룸” 이라 불렸던 전망대에는 역사적인 바와 카페가 있으며 금주법 시절 음식과 음료까지 판매했던 주류밀매점 같은 장소로 방문객을 데려간다. 스미스 타워는 쉬면서 경치를 즐겁게 구경하고 새 친구, 그리고 오래된 친구와 만날 수 있는 완벽한 장소이다.

For there to be light, there must be darkness.

To someone, being “light-hearted and cheerful” may be a form of coercion.

If you are losing yourself amongst the bright splendor, fighting against yourself in the  darkness. Rainy afternoons, double-shots of espresso, a piano’s heart-rending melody–If you are someone who loves contradicting moments of sweetness amidst the dark calm.

DARK CALM (달콤) is Jun’s first personal exhibition. She debuted in 2016 with an exhibition titled, “Sori-Jun2: Dream in California”, resonating among her audience through themes of “letting things be” and “comforting an awkward youth”. Evidence of her hard work has been published in several renowned international magazines, including one in Spain.  
 
Through this Dark Calm Exhibition, Jun conveys her ironic motif and message to her audience: Just as the word “달콤 (Dark Calm)” voices dual meanings, she herself, though infatuated with dark weather, wishes to be a warm and light-hearted person to others. 
 
The artist’s works show, with the photos of strangers as her landscape, her autobiography of the ten years she spent working as an average company employee rather than pursuing her heart’s passion. A reflection of her trying so hard to build a “good girl” image around friends and acquaintances due to difficulty making friends. Through this collection, the artist hopes to, once again, build a deep, warm bond with the audience.

화려하고 밝은 어딘가에서 자신을 잃어 가고 있다면, 어둠 속에서 자아와 사투를 벌이고 있다면. 
비오는 오후, 에스프레소 더블샷, 가슴 먹먹한 피아노 선율 – 
까아만 우울함 속에서 달콤해지는 모순의 순간을 사랑하는 당신이라면.

DARK CALM 달콤전은 전세원 작가의 첫 개인전이다.

그녀는 2016년 소리전2 드림인 캘리포니아 편으로 데뷔하였다. ‘내려놓음’, 서툰 청춘들을 위한 위로로 관객들에게 진정한 공감과 뜨거운 호응을 얻은 데뷔전 이후 꾸준한 사진작업으로 미국, 캐나다, 스페인 등 해외 유수 매거진에 기재되며 현재 활발한 활동중에 있다.
 
이번 전시를 통해 그녀는 ‘Dark Calm – 달콤’ 이라는 소리의 반복이 서로 다른 의미를 갖는 것처럼, 비가 오는 어둑한 날씨를 사랑하면서도 정작 본인은 타인에게 밝고 따듯한 사람이 되고 싶은 자신의 양면성을 모티브 삼아 삶의 아이러니함을 표현하고자 했다.
 
10년동안 해 온 미술을 그만두고 평범한 직장인으로 보내야만 했던 시간들, 어릴 때부터 친구를 사귀는 것이 어려워 항상 주변 이들에게 좋은 사람으로 보이고자 부단히 노력하는 자신의 모습 등 스쳐간 자전적 단상을 사진 속 타인의 풍경 속에 담아내는 작업을 통해 관객과의 깊고도 따듯한 공유를 다시 한번 꿈꾸고 있다.

Inspired by Marilyn Manson’s Mechanical Animals album, SMK built upon ‘70s and ‘90s styles for a collection of a colorful palette and soft aura.The show itself was a work of art, the models suppressing any small, subtle movements so that the audience could digest every morsel. Outlining feminine touches, ruffled collars and fur offered a sweet escape into the type of woman (and man) you have always wanted to be. Relaxed knits, pinstripes, and overalls, on the other hand, oozed casual elegance, reflective of the designer’s own style.

SMK even brought in French calligrapher Jeremy Tow, tiptoeing outside the lines to ensure every vision was brought to life. The celestial hues playing with burgundy and metallic touches, SMK’s cozy, chic pieces focused not on trends, but on dreams.

마릴린 맨슨의 ‘역학적 동물’앨범에 영감을 받은 브랜드 SMK는 화려한 색감과 부드러운 분위기의 컬렉션을 만들기 위하여 70년대와 90년대를 기반으로 한다.

쇼는 그자체가 작품이였는데 모델들은 관객이 쇼의 모든 순간을 즐길 수 있도록 작고 미묘한 움직임조차 억눌렀다. 주름잡힌 옷깃과 털들이 여성적인 부분을 보여주며 자신이 항상 되고 싶었던 모습의 여자 (또는 남자)가 될수 있도록 해주었다. 반면 상상할 수 반면에 캐쥬얼하고 우아한 루즈 니트, 세로줄무늬의 옷, 그리고 오벌올은 디자이너 자신의 스타일을 유감없이 보여준다.

SMK는 또란 프랑스 출신의 캘리그래퍼 제레미 토와 합작을 통해 그들의 상상을 현실로 이끌어냈다. SMK의 따뜻하고 세련된 패션들은 환상적인 색상과 버건디, 그리고 메탈릭 포인트를 통해 단순히 트렌드를 따라가는 것이 아닌 꿈에 집중하는 옷을 만들었다.

After reviewing our favorite fashion trends of 2016, it’s only natural to also give you our best of beauty. This long and eventful year, marked by a love of classics and all that is natural, is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean we have to stop playing with these looks.

Highlighter – The infamous contour is a thing of the past. This year, highlighters were used in a technique called “strobing” to accentuate the angles of your face.

Bold Lipstick – Bold lipstick is timeless, but this time around a bold lip with a bare face was a favorite.

Flushed Cheeks – Sweeping blush from one cheek straight across your nose to the other creates a fresh, youthful, and feminine look.

Translucent Skin – “No makeup” makeup, anyone? Natural, dewy skin is all about applying a light base and skipping the foundation.

Smudged Eyeliner – Hey there, ‘90s! This eyeliner look is a perfect reflection of fall, sultry and moody.

하이라이터:  컨투어 기술은 이제 과거일 뿐이다. 올해에는 하이라이터를 사용하여 얼굴의 각을 강조하는 스트로빙이라는 기술이 많이 사용되었다.

선명한 립스틱: 선명한 립스틱은 세월이 지나도 변함없는 트렌드인데 2016년에 화장을 하지 않은 얼굴에 인기 있게 사용되었다.

발그레한 볼– 블러쉬를 한쪽 볼에서 다른 쪽 볼까지 가로질러 바르는 것이 젊어 보이고 여성으러운 룩을 만들었따.

투명한 피부: “쌩얼” 같은 화장품이다. 자연스럽고 촉촉한 피부는 파운데이션 없이 베이스만으로 피부를 밝고 촉촉하게 한다.
